Each year Shepherd and Wedderburn undertakes a review whereby organisations are invited to submit a proposal to become our ACP. Proposals are evaluated against the following criteria:
In 2008-09 we are working with:
Barnardo's UK
Barnardo's is one of the leading children's charities in the UK, supporting children who are suffering from poverty, abuse, homelessness, family breakdown, disability, HIV/AIDS, substance misuse, or who are young carers.
Contributions from the firm have benefited Barnardo’s 16+ services in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh and Barnardo’s FITA service in London (Families in Temporary Accommodation).
Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. The money raised by the firm has contributed to the fundraising programme for the Macmillan Cancer Care Glasgow and Edinburgh Appeals, Specialist Dietician to support patient and carers to manage their nutritional problems, a London Lung Cancer Translation Project and in Aberdeen contributed towards Macmillan's partnership with the CAB and Dept for Work and Pensions and palliative health care unit.
