Practice Perfect - Euro marketing win

Shepherd and Wedderburn was last night (3 October) awarded with the 'Best Marketing Campaign' at the 2006 European Practice Management Awards, hosted by the Managing Partners' Forum (MPF).  MPF is the membership body which represents best management standards across a variety of professional sectors, including law and accountancy.

The marketing campaign category is one of the most hotly contested, and this year Shepherd and Wedderburn faced tough competition from Clifford Chance, the world's largest law firm, Deloitte and Ernst &Young – two of the world's biggest accountancy firms - and Berwin Leighton Paisner - a top 20 UK law firm, showing that the firm is keeping good company.

The MPF Awards recognise the achievements of the professional services industry's 'unsung heroes' in marketing, technology, HR, finance and facilities, and are open to any professional firm operating in Europe.

The campaign, entitled 'don't stand still', impressed the judges with its strength of online and offline interactive elements.  Run by the firm in 2005/6, it achieved a 58 per cent click through rate to the firm's website. It has made a real impact on the firm and the market in terms of the strategic approach and the creativity of marketing and business development activity, as well as added value that can be created by marketing of professional services firms.

Patrick Andrews, Shepherd and Wedderburn's chief executive said: "The firm has featured in the shortlist for this category consistently in the last five years, underlining the marketing team's consistent and brave approach to the marketing of our firm."
