PropertyPSLS - a new group for Property Professional Support Lawyers in Scotland

A new group has been formed for professional support lawyers (PSLs) working in commercial property departments in law firms in Scotland.

The group was formed to provide mutual support for members in their roles as PSLs. PropertyPSLS meets bi-monthly to discuss issues current in commercial property law which are relevant to the practice of commercial property PSLs. Issues covered in previous meetings have included problems with SDLT, using the SDLT online service, issues arising from the Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003 and the use of trust clauses in dispositions.

PropertyPSLS currently has 12 members, with representatives from: Bell & Scott; Biggart Baillie; Brodies; Burness; DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary; Dundas & Wilson; McGrigors; Semple Fraser; Shepherd and Wedderburn; and Tods Murray.

The group liaises with the English property PSL group (Association of Property Support Lawyers) and with the Property Standardisation Group on matters of common interest.

The group would be pleased to hear from any other commercial property PSLs who would like to join PropertyPSLS. Please contact David Edwards at Brodies for further details - david.edwards@brodies.co.uk
