Art and the City

To mark the move to their London office at Condor House, St Paul’s Churchyard, leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn is sponsoring Caledoniart’s first exhibition of Scottish Art in London.

The exhibition runs from 23 - 28 April 2007 at the Air Gallery, 32 Dover Street, Mayfair, London and is open to the public from 11.00 am to 8.00 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 11.00 am to 6.00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday; and 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on Saturday.

Caledoniart is a new company, founded in 2007 by Amanda Brock – a part-time lawyer and the organiser of the Scottish Charity Art Show - which specialises in the sale of Scottish art outside of Scotland.

Amanda commented: “Caledoniart promotes young and established Scottish artists alike through the sales of art at its exhibitions and on the website. This exhibition will feature Scottish landscapes by Jonathan Shearer, George Birrell and Ian Macaulay alongside ceramic by Helen Kemp, Sculpture by Mhairi Corr and paintings by Michael Ross which capture the ‘spirit’ of Scotland’s people.”

Patrick Andrews, Chief Executive with Shepherd and Wedderburn said: “We are delighted to be involved with such a worthwhile cause and hope that the event attracts both significant numbers of visitors and sales to raise money for Caledoniart.”
