New London Dispute Resolution Partner
Leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has appointed Guy Harvey as a Partner in its Commercial Dispute Resolution (CDR) practice.
With over 30 years’ experience in a full range of commercial litigation, including fraud, disaster recovery and disputes management, Guy joins the firm from Dickinson Dees, where he was Partner in charge of Litigation in London and led the professional negligence group.
Chambers associates Guy with ‘resolving matters or providing “top-quality advice” to highly rated clients’.
In recent years Guy has handled several large professional negligence claims, often on behalf of trustees, as well as being involved in major trust litigation. He recently defended Arriva in proceedings against Chester City Council regarding alleged breaches of competition law. A Cambridge graduate, Guy is a trained and experienced mediator, a member of a subcommittee of the Fraud Advisory Panel and involved in various civil litigation bodies.
Patrick Andrews, Chief Executive of Shepherd and Wedderburn commented: “I am pleased to welcome Guy to the firm as part of our continuing efforts to reshape the business for the future. His experience significantly strengthens our English litigation capability and will allow us to grow this practice in response to increasing demand from our clients.”
