Mediation and Coaching
The Gibbons review heralded a move away from a purely procedural approach to dispute resolution in the workplace. This seminar will take you through a detailed analysis of the mediation process with practical hints and tips for improving communication in the workplace. We will then go on to review the application of coaching skills to employee performance within the relevant statutory and common law framework. We will include a section on practical coaching skills where we will invite audience participation, giving delegates the opportunity to share their own experiences.
As well as a Partner and Chairman of Shepherd and Wedderburn, Hugh Donald is a trained and accredited mediator. He is associated with the leading mediation agency in Scotland, acting as mediator in commercial disputes and coaching on their training courses for prospective mediators. He is Chairman of Family Mediation Scotland.
