This is an ideal opportunity to see how the firm works and the type of work that a Shepherd and Wedderburn trainee gets involved with. Once you have completed your work shadow day, we hope that you will decide to apply for our summer internship or traineeship.

When to apply

Work shadow days will take place between January - May 2019. Please note work shadow days are now full for 2019. If you would like to be added to our waiting list for a work shadow day in 2019 please contact us at please include a copy of your CV and your availability dates.

"When I was a second year at Glasgow Caledonian University, studying the LLB, I had no idea what kind of lawyer I wanted to be.  Shepherd and Wedderburn's work shadow day helped me to decide. I worked for a day in the property department of the Glasgow office, shadowing a trainee and getting to see what working for a top law firm means in practice.  The people I met were so friendly and down to earth - I had thought lawyers were scary!  Everyone really seemed to enjoy their job and made a genuine effort to help me out and make me feel at ease even though I was only there for a day.  This showed me that Shepherd and Wedderburn was the firm for me.  I also remember thinking how impressive the firm's clients were.  The work shadow day is a great experience to help you decide if a commercial lawfirm is for you”.
