The European Commission (Commission) has fined Crédit Agricole, HSBC and JPMorgan Chase a total of €485 million for participating in a cartel in euro interest rate derivatives. How does this apply to you?

The European Commission (Commission) has fined Crédit Agricole, HSBC and JPMorgan Chase a total of €485 million for participating in a cartel in euro interest rate derivatives (EIRD). This follows an earlier settlement decision regarding the same cartel, where a total fine exceeding €1 billion was imposed on Barclays, Deutsche Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Société Générale.
