Shepherd and Wedderburn partner speaks at premier D&O event

At a time when directors and officers and D&O insurers are facing greater challenges than ever, C5 brings together key industry figures at their 25th D&O Liability Insurance Conference, which takes place on 8 and 9 March in London.

In a series of keynote speeches and panel discussions, the two-day event will explore a variety of topics, including claim handling, increasing threats for D&Os, re-structuring and insolvency of companies, bribery and corruption enforcement, as well as cyber liability, data security breaches and cyber exposures.

Leading UK law firm, Shepherd and Wedderburn, which is renowned for its award-winning regulatory and transactional expertise, will be represented at the conference by compliance, governance and financial regulation lawyer, Judy Krieg.

Judy joined the firm’s Commercial Disputes and Regulation group at the beginning of the year. Through her experience as financial regulator, Chief Compliance Officer, as well as in-house and external counsel, she is supremely well equipped to provide delegates with practical insights into bribery enforcement and the implications for the D&O market globally.

Judy commented: “C5’s conference provides not only an excellent opportunity to meet industry participants, but more importantly a forum to discuss key D&O liability insurance issues. I am looking forward to hearing opinions from the impressive speaker line-up and sharing insights on the current enforcement of the anti-bribery laws, including the UK Bribery Act, and the practical effects on D&O insurance underwriting and claims.”
