Shepherd and Wedderburn sponsor the Scottish Construction Convention 2013

Shepherd and Wedderburn is delighted to be, for a second year, sponsoring the Scottish Construction Convention (SCC), which takes place on Tuesday 8 October 2013 at Maxim 3, Eurocentral.

Shepherd and Wedderburn will lead and support Learning Zone 4 – Embracing Regulatory & Legislative Change.

Iain Drummond, construction disputes partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn, commented; “This event is proving to be key within the construction industry, in helping to look to the future with confidence and fresh thinking. Shepherd and Wedderburn will help place the regulatory framework within the context of this vision, taking advantage of the vast experience we have in helping clients across the sector.”

Paul McDevitt, Managing Director of Business Fix, the originators, and organisers of SCC said, “We are delighted that a legal firm of the stature and reputation of Shepherd and Wedderburn has again agreed to support the Convention. Following the success and positive feedback from the inaugural event last November, we are working hard to ensure the 2013 Convention cements its place as Scotland’s most innovative construction event and continues to attract senior executives from across the industry. This year we have formed the Convention round the theme of “Creating the Margin” which, as anyone involved in construction knows, is the number one challenge. By working with innovative legal firms such as Shepherd and Wedderburn we are creating an event which will engage, challenge, inspire, and provide practical help for delegates”.

McDevitt added “Over the coming weeks we will be announcing more Convention details including additional Learning Zone Leaders, programme details, more sponsors, and exhibitors. To find out more about this unique event and to book your place visit our website www.futureofconstruction.co.uk
