Douglas is a Partner in the private wealth and tax, and corporate tax practices. Specialising in private client and corporate tax work, he advises individuals, families and trustees on issues such as succession planning, wills, trusts, and personal taxation, often with an international dimension. He also regularly works alongside the firm’s rural property teams on matters involving partnerships and inheritance tax relief. On the corporate side, Douglas advises on matters including tax issues associated with corporate sales and commercial property transactions.
As well as being a solicitor Douglas is a Chartered Tax Advisor.
Douglas is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
