Leigh specialises in construction disputes. Her experience ranges across construction, engineering and major projects disputes, with a focus on utilities and disputes in the energy sector, both north and south of the border. Leigh is experienced in the Scottish courts, and has extensive experience in adjudication, arbitration, expert determination and mediation.
Leigh has an excellent working knowledge of all the typical standard form construction contracts currently in the insdustry, but has a particular specialism in NEC3.
Leigh also has a unique insight into arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Scotland, through her involvement with the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for many years. The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is a global Institute with 14,000 members across 133 countries. The Scottish Branch is actively involved in promoting all forms of ADR in the Scottish Market, and Leigh is heavily involved in the wider ADR community, regularly arranging and presenting at seminars and conferences.
Leigh is an accredited Construction Law specialist by the Law Society of Scotland. Leigh also won Rising Star of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards in 2020.
