Share incentives: What I wish I had known!

Share incentive schemes are a popular and effective way for UK emerging growth companies to recruit, incentivise, and reward the key individuals that they need to grow their businesses. However, if not implemented and managed correctly, they can significantly increase the complexities in delivering an eventual “exit”.

We hosted a joint breakfast panel discussion with Deloitte, centering on the team's experience of dealing with share incentives in corporate transactions. 

Startup Founders Meetup

We're excited to continue hosting the monthly Startup Founders Meetups and look forward to many more to come. 

These meetups are a great chance for members of the start-up community to learn from fireside chats alongside experienced entrepreneurs, with plenty of opportunities to network with other founders, potential cofounders, and investors. 

The Founders Conference

We were lucky enough to attend The Founders Conference, organised by the Hunter Foundation and The Scottish National Investment Bank.

This was a truly inspiring event, with keynote speakers such as David Duke MBE. With, as it was put at the event, the pace of change never being faster, nor slower ever again, it is crucial that we have market square events such as this here in Scotland.

What will be the impact of new BVCA model documents?

We hosted two in-person sessions reviewing the key changes to the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) model documents for early-stage investments and exploring discussion points that are likely to arise in deals papered with the new model forms.

Hosted by Shepherd and Wedderburn and GP Bullhound, our Titans of Tech Roundtable kicked-off our Start to Scale events.

This first event revealed the key findings of GP Bullhound's annual Titans of Tech report, charting the growth trends of Europe’s tech ecosystem and highlighting the companies that are demonstrating the greatest ambition.
